Norwegian Prima in the Bahamas // NCL November 2022

I was lucky enough to be able to attend one of the NCL Prima inaugural sailings. A three-night cruise to Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas.

The ship was beautiful, the staterooms were done in white and blue with gold touches. There were plenty of comfy places to sit and relax and enjoy the sun, or if you are adventurous there is an abundance of things to do to keep you busy.

  • Mini-golf
  • A 10 story slide that drops from 18 floor to the 8th
  • 3 level racetrack
  • Virtual reality room with any type of VR game you can think of

Prima had a new restaurant concept call the Indulge Food Hall. Each table had a tablet to order food from 8 different independent kitchens. You can choose from Indian cuisine, rotisserie, noodles, salads, soups, and many more. The food came out very quickly and the menu changed from lunch to dinner.

We checked out the Oasis buffet one evening and were pleasantly surprised. They had large fresh shrimp and oysters along with individual lobster potpies.

Great Stirup Cay

NCL’s private island included many lounge chairs and even with a full ship it didn’t feel crowded at any time. We were able to get some chairs with an umbrella (there are only about 10 that I saw). We got snorkeling masks and spent the majority of our time in the water checking out the beautiful fish. Lunch was included on the island with a choice of tacos or a buffet with hamburgers, hot dogs and ribs.
