GALAPAGOS ISLANDS • SPRING 2020

A visit to the Galapagos Islands is an experience like no other. You will never see another place of such extraordinary beauty and fascination. The islands lie 600 miles off the coast of Ecuador. Thirteen of the islands are larger than 6 sq. miles and the rest of the archipelago is made up of more than 40 islets and large rocks. The entire area straddles the equator, which passes directly through Isabela, the largest of the islands and representing more than half of the entire surface area of the islands combined. The entire chain is the result of volcanic activity millions of years ago and it offers a very rocky and arid environment. A naturalist guide will bring you ashore each day to explore the different habitats and many unique animal and plant species that are indigenous to the area.

The mostly uninhabited islands can only be visited by cruising. Our home for 7 nights will be aboard the luxurious Galapagos Legend, which holds 100 passengers and all accommodations have ocean views. Once onboard, meals are included as well as two guided excursions each day.
