The land of fire and ice. It beckons photographers and adventurers alike. Our tour will be exclusive to Mayo Clinic travelers and starts in the capital city of Reykjavik before traveling north to Grundarfjordur and all the way to the southernmost village of Vik with many stops along the way to fully explore. Travel to the Golden Circle and journey to the spectacular Gullfoss waterfall. Walk the lava fields or venture into a lava cave. Learn about the 400-year-old tradition of catching and preserving Greenland shark. Savor authentic Icelandic cuisine and even try the local delicacy of hakarl (buried, rotten and fermented shark).
